The goal is to provide a forum for PhD students to present ongoing research in a collaborative environment and share ideas with other young researchers. Participants will be able to discuss their research ideas and results, and receive constructive feedback from their peers as well as senior researchers in their respective research areas. It will be an excellent opportunity to build relations beneficial to the doctoral students.

The PhD Winter School addresses PhD students at any stage of their PhD career: those just starting their PhD, those in the middle, and those close to completion. Professors, post-doctoral and senior researchers will attend and give input.
The PhD Winter School will be granted 3 ECTS points by Ghent University.
The Social Sciences Unit of the Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research (ILVO), Ghent University (Belgium), MTT AGRIFOOD RESARCH (FINLAND) and the University of Jyväskylä (Finland), with the support of COST IS1007 ‘Invesitgating Cultural Sustainability’.
