Place based approaches in regional development

Objective

The goal is to provide a forum for PhD students to present ongoing research in a collaborative environment and share ideas with other young researchers. Participants will be able to discuss their research ideas and results, and receive constructive feedback from their peers as well as senior researchers in their respective research areas. It will be an excellent opportunity to build relations beneficial to the doctoral students.

The Old Abbey (‘de Oude Abdij’), a former monastery, in the municipality Drongen, close to Ghent (Belgium).

Date of abstract submission

The deadline for the submission of a long abstract (1000 words) is September 15, 2013.

Application requirements

The PhD Winter School addresses PhD students at any stage of their PhD career: those just starting their PhD, those in the middle, and those close to completion. Professors, post-doctoral and senior researchers will attend and give input.

ECTS-credits

The PhD Winter School will be granted 3 ECTS points by Ghent University.
