Invitation animal taskforce seminar

This year’s Animal Task Force Seminar will provide a transatlantic perspective on visions and strategic research agenda for animal productions in Europe and the USA, and will discuss on Precision Livestock Farming.

Morning

USA/Europe. Sharing visions on research agendas for animal productions
Bernard D. Goldstein, Professor Emeritus at University of Pittsburgh and Chair of the Committee on the Considerations for the Future of Animal Science Research, will inspire the audience with a stimulating speech on the role and perspectives of animal science research in food security and sustainability. European policy makers from the European Commission and the European Parliament will introduce the European perspective and agenda.

Afternoon

Precision Livestock Farming
In the afternoon, a special interactive session on Precision Livestock Farming will dive participants
into different aspects of applying PLF. After an introductory session there will be a break-out groups session, chaired by leading experts in the field.
