NOBL, Network for Organic Food and Farming Research

NOBL - a discussion and communication platform - is a joint initiative of the Government of Flanders’ Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and the organic sector. This platform joins researchers, the Government of Flanders and Flemish farmers’ and consumers’ organisations. It aims to promote cooperation between researchers and interaction between researchers and stakeholders from the agri-food chain and to expand international contacts. This encourages a better understanding of research needs that specifically addresses the needs of the organic sector. It also fosters support and recognition of research on organic agriculture in Flanders. Furthermore, NOBL supports activities concerning knowledge exchange for organic food and farming.

ILVO is coordinator of the network and is a central contact point for research on organic agriculture in Flanders.
